Refund policy

14-day money-back guarantee

If a theme is not right for your site, email hello@themesbykyle.com within 14 days of purchase and ask for a refund. Include the email address used at checkout and the name of the theme.

Digital downloads are delivered immediately by Gumroad. Any checkout consent about immediate delivery does not affect the separate 14-day guarantee offered here. It also does not affect your legal rights if a theme is faulty, misdescribed or does not perform as promised.

Refunds are returned through the original payment method. Currency-conversion differences charged by banks or payment providers are outside Themes By Kyle's control.

Theme licence

Buying a theme gives you a perpetual licence to use it; it does not transfer the theme's copyright or permit redistribution.

• One purchase covers one live Ghost site. Local-development and staging copies of that same site are included.
• Additional sites require additional licences. Contact me if you need a recurring client or multi-site arrangement.
• Client work is allowed. You may install and customise the theme for a client when that live site has its own licence.
• Customisation is allowed. You may edit the theme code for the licensed site.
• Redistribution is not allowed. Do not sell, share, publish or repackage the theme or a substantially similar derivative as a theme product.

Updates

The licence includes every update released during the lifetime of the purchased theme. If a product is retired, your existing licence remains valid, but new updates are not promised after the announced retirement date.

Support scope

Email support covers installation, documented settings and confirmed defects in an unmodified current release. Bespoke design work, custom code changes, third-party integrations, hosting administration and problems caused by unsupported modifications are not included.

Privacy

The marketing site does not contain an account system or payment form. In your browser it stores only your chosen light/dark appearance and announcement-bar preference. It collects and keeps an email address only if you enter one into the mailing list form, plus a small set of anonymous first-party events used to understand whether the store is helping people choose a theme.

Purchases

Payments, tax calculation, receipts and digital delivery are processed by Gumroad. Gumroad receives the information you enter at checkout under its own privacy terms. Themes By Kyle receives the order information Gumroad makes available to the seller so the purchase can be fulfilled and supported.

Mailing list

If you submit the mailing list form, the address you enter is stored, together with the page you submitted it from, the date and time, and the two-letter country code your browser request arrived with. It is held in Cloudflare Workers KV, on the same infrastructure that serves this site, and is never passed to a third-party marketing platform.

It is used for one purpose: to tell you when a new theme is released or a significant update ships. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. To be removed, email hello@themesbykyle.com and your address is deleted — there is no automated unsubscribe link, because a person handles it.

Site measurement

The store records a limited set of events such as viewing a theme, opening a demo, choosing a purchase link or joining the mailing list. Each record contains the event name, relevant theme, page path, link label and time. When Gumroad reports a completed order, the store also records the theme, amount, currency and time so aggregate click-to-purchase performance can be understood. It does not retain the buyer's email, name, Gumroad sale identifier or order number in these measurement records. No analytics cookie, referrer, query string, user agent, session identifier or location is stored. Records are kept for up to 90 days in Cloudflare Workers KV and are exposed to the store owner only as aggregate counts.

Email

If you email Themes By Kyle, your address and message are used to answer the enquiry and retain a reasonable support record. They are not sold or added to a marketing list without consent.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted through Cloudflare, which may process routine security and access-log data. Storefront fonts are served directly by Themes By Kyle rather than requested from a third-party font service. No behavioural advertising or third-party analytics script is intentionally included on the marketing site.

Your choices

You may ask for a copy or deletion of personal information held directly by Themes By Kyle, subject to legal record-keeping requirements, by emailing hello@themesbykyle.com.

Purchase terms

• Theme prices are stated in US dollars and exclude VAT or sales tax where Gumroad is required to add it.
• Payment, tax calculation and file delivery are handled by Gumroad.
• The buyer is responsible for confirming that their Ghost installation supports custom themes. On Ghost(Pro), this means Publisher or higher; Starter does not support custom themes.
• The current supported Ghost version and material product limitations are stated on the relevant product page.
• You are responsible for backing up your Ghost site before installing or updating a theme.
• Theme code may be updated to maintain Ghost compatibility, fix defects or improve the product.
